Meet our glamorous star of the month an Icon of Arts - Nomathamsanqa Mkwananzi Dube, You can call her NomaT. Her story in the world of arts begins way back in 1982 when on a beautiful morning a princess of arts....

Salibonani, Hallo, Wie gehts, Makadii Name: I am Nomathamsanqa Treatie Mkwananzi Birth: I was born at Marondera Polyclinic Mzilkazi in Bulawayo on the 2nd of November 1982.

Family: I am the first born in my family and my only sister is Duduzile Mkwananzi. Status: I am married to Nkululeko Innocent Dube and in 2003 we were blessed with a baby boy named Mbongeni Lawrence Dube. He is named after my husband's role model and trainer Mbongeni Ngema.

Role: I am the female lead vocalist at Iyasa and I always make it a point that I do my best Dream: I will one day be the best female vocalist and musician in the world.

Respects: I thank my parents Charles T Mkwananzi and Maggie Mhlanga for supporting me despite all the hurdles. I also thank my in-laws, my sister and Sihlangu Dlodlo and of course my husband and God for all the guidance and mutual support.

Advice: To all parents out there, being an artist is as good as any other job, maybe better in some instances. If your child wants to be an artist give them the chance and support them. Fellow artists be exemplary, be responsible so as to prove the cynics wrong. Remember being an artist is the only job you do with a smile, make people respect your job and they will respect you.
