A children´s puppetry, music and dance production telling the story about hare and elephant. The animals decide to grow pumpkins. While elephant has the worst or best hunger and appetite he also happens to be the laziest. Hare toils, waters and takes care of the pumpkins but as soon as they are ripe and ready they disappear. Even on the night Elephant is on guard the pumpkins vanish. Hare decides to go on guard, hiding in one of the pumpkins. The thief who is surprisingly elephant himself swallows the pumpkin and hare the continuously asks him about his evil did from his own stomach. It is a very comic story about conscience, the small voice that talks to all of us, even the big ones that are lazy and always want to harvest from the sweat of the small and unprivileged. This is a an African fairy tale that is a must see for all children.

ZNAC   »  Language unlocks many doors. African Marchen, written and directed by Stephan Rabl of Austria is played by IYASA in German (Duetch) language. It is spiced with music that takes you to the streets of Africa, the joy and the sorrow of its people especially the young. Suitable for all age groups above the age of six, the play can be described as a journey into the individual actors experiences. With musical and dance punctuation they tell happy and stories most of which they experienced as they grew up.It brings together the beautiful games played in Zimbabwean streets, the buzz of our market places like Lobengula street in Bulawayo and the communal living as compared to the more individualistic life in Europe and not with standing the colour of movement, business, variation of purpose at eRenkini or Mbare bus Termini. The 12 performers are traveling, going away, for different reasons whose stories they tell in German .

Love knows no boundaries. This is a musical theatre production that seeks to break old traditions about love yet at the same time question intermarriages. Gone are the days when parents and chiefs would choose who you should marry. The present has also blown away taboos such as "white and black cant marry". Africano (she) and Americano (he) go all the way to the wire to show their love for each other. On the other hand the play twists our minds in the cultural sense. When Africano abandons her cultural values and beliefs for American dreams and ambitions what will happen? Heartbreak? Find out.
